Long before she was the CEO of Dracore Digital, Chantelle Fraser founded a debt collection business located in Randburg, Johannesburg. As most greenfield operations, funding was limited. However, for 12 months Chantelle ploughed all her energy into getting in front of potential clients and managed to on-board a client list most debt collection businesses would give their eye teeth for. Very soon she had more work than her small 12-seater call centre could handle if they were to continue doing things in the traditional way.
So Chantelle figured out how to work smarter. She found methods of extrapolating as much value out of the debtors books under her management as possible, while keeping costs down. She surrounded herself with data specialists and started testing how data that generates insights could also be used to get better results in her business.
It worked so well that Chantelle decided to invest in data based solutions that could solve problems for other businesses in a similar smart, meaningful and cost-effective way. In May 2013, she founded Dracore Data Sciences, with the vision of becoming South Africa’s Quality Data Bureau.
However, this was not all. Chantelle realised that if Dracore was to continue delivering data services beyond existing traditional channels, further development would be required. A few months later she founded Dracore Digital, a fully fledged Digital Marketing agency which serves as a non-traditional data creation partner to Dracore Data Sciences.
Since then, Dracore has continued to make strides in the industry and forge important partnerships.
